Greencom-04 - a Nordic Conference on Environmental Communication and how to make it work was held in Stockholm March 31- April 1 2004. The conference focused on when environmental communication works and when it does not. Participants investigated how environmental communication can work to influence consumer behaviour and tried to identify the type of support that consumers need to actively contribute to the "greening" of products. The conference objective was sharing ideas and knowledge on developing the role of the consumer within the integrated product policy process (IPP). The conference was organized by the Integrated Product Policy group of the Nordic Council of Ministers (NMRIPP-group). More information about the conference is still to be found at: www.greencom.se . The conference report presents the results of the conference and sheds light on some of the interesting topics that were discussed. There are two sections in the report, the first describes what happened at the conference and the second provides the reader with a picture of the most important findings. A written copy of the report has been sent to all the conference participants, but apart from that it is only available in an electronic format.
