The United Nations 10-Year Framework of Programs on Sustainable Consumption and Production (10YFP), adopted 2012, calls for voluntary action by governments and stakeholders worldwide to accelerate the shift towards sustainable consumption and production.
The Working Group for Sustainable Consumption and Production (SCP), under the Nordic Council of Ministers, has been catalyzing the process by engaging in common activities with relevance for the implementation of 10YFP.
To help define relevant future actions, the SCP Working Group initiated this report to present an overview of current challenges together with a set of recommendations for future Nordic initiatives to be taken. The point of departure has been the Swedish Laboratory on Sustainable Lifestyles conference in Umeå 2017. The impressions gained at this conference have been supplemented by a literature review.
