Chemicals with endocrine disrupting effects (EDCs) need to be identified in order to take regulatory action. Requirements for testing of chemicals are included in different legislations. However, the standard information requirements and data requirements in legislations do not include tests specifically designed to detect endocrine disrupting effects. The aim of this project was to use available information from scientific publications on three suspected endocrine disruptors (diuron, piperonylbutoxide, and resorcinol) to evaluate what test methods are able to identify endocrine disruptors.
