The present article examines the reinvention of journalism and its business models fromthe perspective of Finnish newsrooms. In the light of the study, the role of the liquidmodern journalist may be evolving towards that of the liquid journalist economist. Ajournalist economist easily combines the journalistic ideals of public service, autonomyand objectivity with those of product development, marketing and advertisement.
