About Nefco

Nefco, the Nordic Green Bank, is an international financial institution founded in 1990 by the five Nordic countries Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. Our task is to accelerate the green transition. 

We serve the interests of our owners and finance the initial scale-up of Nordic green solutions on global markets. We finance green investments, primarily with loans and equity-type financing from our own revolving capital. In addition, we manage trust funds and initiatives on behalf of various donors, including the Nordic governments, the Nordic Council of Ministers and the European Union, to support their sustainability-related goals.
