Responsible organisation
2024 (English)Book (Other (popular science, discussion, etc.))
Abstract [en]

The title of the Presidency of Finland and Åland in the Nordic Council of Ministers is the Nordics 2025 – Strong and united. The starting point for the Presidency is to support our joint vision of the Nordic Region as the most sustainable and integrated region in the world by 2030. Finland and Åland also pay particular attention to promoting societal security. The Presidency aims to further strengthen the Nordic countries' resilience to civilian crisis and to promote comprehensive preparedness for various civilian crises and hybrid threats. The second priority will be children and young people. Promoting free movement and integration between the Nordic countries is also an important objective for Finland and Åland. The Presidency will, in addition, promote the competitiveness of the Nordic Region by strengthening co-operation in areas such as innovation and sustainable solutions.
